We currently have five active projects, four on the island of Phuket in Thailand and one in Madrid, Spain. We are helping more than 500 children under our methodology, in collaboration with local schools and child integration centers.

Gate Thailand

Through practicing soccer, the foundation tries to work on the integration of values that allow children to overcome the obstacles they come up against in their childhood and youth due to their geographical, social and cultural situation. The project also covers school support, language training and skills development for the labor market.

For this purpose, Gate for Children has its own technical team, made up of psychologists, educators and coaches, both Spanish and local, who put into practice the method created by our professionals using soccer as its main tool.

Partners

We travelled around the different regions of Thailand, getting to know the culture and local needs, especially children’s needs, as well as other projects and initiatives that international organizations and NGDOs are carrying out in the country. At GATE, we want to collaborate with their mission, contributing to their projects with our values, those of soccer, and the benefits of this sport for child development.

As a result, the foundation collaborates with the Asia Center Foundation as a local partner with which we carry out our activities in Thailand today.

Gate Spain

At GATE SPAIN we are currently working on our first project, in collaboration with Club Atlético Pan Bendito Madrid, which is run by the actor and singer Juan Manuel Montilla, ‘El Langui’. Gate’s technical team works together with Pan Bendito’s squad of professionals to help children and young people discover healthy alternatives and values that provide them with the tools to face the different situations they have to deal with during the course of their lives.

The headquarters of the foundation and the global management body where the resources of each project are defined are located in Barcelona.

Club Atlético Pan Bendito Madrid is the sports and charity project of the well-known artist Juan Manuel Montilla (‘El Langui’). The aim of this club is to give scholarships to all those young people from low-income families in Madrid’s Pan Bendito neighborhood so that they have the opportunity to form part of a soccer association with qualified coaches.

The Gate for Children team works together with the club by applying its methodology through our team of educators, psychologists and coaches, with an initial educational aspect working on values that are then put into practice on the field of play.
